things to remember

1. The 105-foot-tall (38-meter-tall) "Christ the Redeemer" statue in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, was among the "new seven wonders of the world" announced July 7 , 2007 following a global poll to decide a new list of human-made marvels. The winners were voted for by Internet and phone, American Idol style.

2-Great Wall of China
This newly elected world wonder was built along China's northern border over many centuries to keep out invading Mongol tribes. Constructed between the fifth century B.C. and the 16th century, the Great Wall is the world's longest human-made structure, stretching some 4,000 miles (6,400 kilometers). The best known section was built around 200 B.C. by the first emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang Di.

3-The Colosseum, Rome, Italy
the Colosseum in Rome, Italy—once held up to 50,000 spectators who came to watch gory games involving gladiators, wild animals, and prisoners. Construction began around A.D. 70 under Emperor Vespasian. Modern sports stadiums still resemble the Colosseum's famous design.

4- Petra, Jordan
Perched on the edge of the Arabian Desert, Petra was the capital of the Nabataean kingdom of King Aretas IV (9 B.C. to A.D. 40). Petra is famous for its many stone structures such as a 138-foot-tall (42-meter-tall) temple carved with classical facades into rose-colored rock. The ancient city also included tunnels, water chambers, and an amphitheater, which held 4,000 people.
The desert site wasn't known to the West until Swiss explorer Johann Ludwig Burckhardt came across it in 1812.

5-Machu Picchu, Peru
One of three successful candidates from Latin America, Machu Picchu is a 15th-century mountain settlement in the Amazon region of Peru. The ruined city is among the best known remnants of the Inca civilization, which flourished in the Andes region of western South America. The city is thought to have been abandoned following an outbreak of deadly smallpox, a disease introduced in the 1500s by invading Spanish forces.

6-Chichén Itzá, Mexico
Chichén Itzá is possibly the most famous temple city of the Mayas, a pre-Columbian civilization that lived in present day Central America. It was the political and religious center of Maya civilization during the period from A.D. 750 to 1200.
At the city's heart lies the Temple of Kukulkan (pictured)—which rises to a height of 79 feet (24 meters). Each of its four sides has 91 steps—one step for each day of the year, with the 365th day represented by the platform on the top.

7.-The Taj Mahal, in Agra, India, is the spectacular mausoleum built by Muslim Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan to honor the memory of his beloved late wife, Mumtaz Mahal.
Construction began in 1632 and took about 15 years to complete. The opulent, domed mausoleum, which stands in formal walled gardens, is generally regarded as finest example of Mughal art and architecture. It includes four minarets, each more than 13 stories tall.
Shah Jahan was deposed and put under house arrest by one of his sons soon after the Taj Mahal's completion. It's said that he spent the rest of his days gazing at the Taj Mahal from a window.
These are the modern seven wonders of the World as per the recent polls.

my beloved god

Tupac Amaru Shakur (June 16, 1971 – September 13, 1996), also known by his stage names 2Pac, Makaveli, or simply Pac, was an American artist renowned for his rapping and hip hop music, as well as his movie roles, poetry, and his social activism. He is the highest-selling hip hop artist, with over 75 million albums sold worldwide, including over 50 million in the United States. Here is one of his fantastic song.... I got it form on of the blog while browsing...
God
When I was alone, and had nothingI asked for a friend to help me bear the pain
No one came, except God
When I needed breath to rise, from my sleep
No one could help me, except God
When all I saw was sadness, and I needed answers
No one heard me, except God
So when I'm asked, who I give my unconditional love to ?
I look for no other name, except God.
~~~ Tupac Shakur
My Version of this beautiful poem
When I was alone and had nothing and nobody to bother
even, when I asked for my dear ones to bear my pains
Nobody came, except my beloved God
When I needed most to overcome challenges and setbacks in life
No one could help and soccur me, except my beloved God
When all I saw was desolation and despair and
When I needed hope and support the most
No one consoled me, except my beloved God
So when I’m asked, to, who I give my unconditional love to,
I have no choice other than to my Beloved God,
As I am indebted to God to offer absolute and complete love
As for God, to whom, inspite of my shortcommings, failures and drawbacks
Of every kind, never, never, never forsaken me.
on 7th October 2007, ie on the lazy Sunday Morning, we decided to visit Pavaghat- a hill spot located around 50 kms away from Baroda. The hill is famous for Temple of Maha Kali and has facility of Cable Cart to reach the top. The surrounding place is called Champaner: It seems it is a "World Heritage" site and contains remains of Fort and Mosque built by Mohammed Begda in 11th Century. Due to copious monsoon rains this year, we could see rich green and clear water in the ponds and lakes.
Thanks to My friend chandru, who have penchant for images, shades, and lights snaps with Nikon and captured the finer moments of our memorable trip.
The boss has to interview four girls for a secretary's position.
He thought of a question and asked each one of them: "A woman normally has two mouths, What's the difference between the two?"
The first one answered: One can talk but the other can't.
Second answered: one is vertical and the other is horizontal.
Third answered: one is hairy, the other isn't.
The last one answered: One is for my use and the other is for my boss.
Beautiful Munnar
Munnar is one of the best tourist spot.. rich green forest.. Some snaps taken in my Sony camera..
In Munnar u can see the deers nearby....
The deers are so habituated to the human interference, that they are no longer afraid of humans, they comes very close to humans and eats fruits from our hands....
But we can see those deers in Munnar at the higher ranges... It is a wonderful tourist destination. Accomodations are plenty... but not as chill and cools as kodaikanal or Ooty.. but the Munnar is rich with natural beauty... and beautiful parks... But many of the hills are cleared for tea cultivations... one may think how beautiful munnar would be without Tea cultivations... It seems the bio-diversity has been tampered by human needs and wants... that's way of life....
transformation....
Aaaamazing , the wonder of modern make-up... with cosmetics and skill of the beautician, even a dull and plain can be made -"good looking". This picture is a perfect example for that.
Many of you might have amazed by the make-up of Rajinikanth in the recent movie, SHIVAJI.. How youthful he looks in that movie... all because of wonders of Make-up.. so dont worry, if you are not gifted by beauty or good looks, dont worry... be beautiful by cosmetics...
and be cheerful and happy,
as thing of beauty is joy for ever....
Beauty commands respect and authority... hope u'll agree....
thats great
This picture portraits the true Mumbai wherein the electric trains runs the city... they are the back bone of Mumbai... truely they run almost whole day.. we may call for mumbai railways needs timeless clock... Rain or shine, mumbai trains runs - almost sharply sticks to schedule... one can only amaze the punctuality in which the train arrives...to my personal experience they are very punctual... many people may complain many things.. but managing such a whole lot or people, transporting crores of people daily needs to be appreciated... with the limited facilities... mumbai railways is running the show in surpreme dedication, with punctuality... clearly, hats off to Mumbai Railways...
attitude of the Boss in companies..
When I Take a long time to finish, I am slow,
When my boss takes a long time, he is thorough
When I don't do it, I am lazy,
When my boss does not do it, he is busy,
When I do something without being told, I am trying to be smart,
When my boss does the same, he takes the initiative,
When I please my boss, I am apple polishing,
When my boss pleases his boss, he is cooperating,
When I make a mistake, I' am an idiot.
When my boss makes a mistake, he's only human.
When I am out of the office, I am wondering around.
When my boss is out of the office, he's on business.
When I am on a day off sick, I am always sick.
When my boss is a day off sick, he must be very ill.
When I apply for leave, I must be going for an interview
When my boss applies for leave, it's because he's overworked
When I do good, my boss never remembers,
When I do wrong, he never forgets
amazing bridal
I had received this photo from a friend Mr Rajesh, through email and amazed by the methods used by our ancestors to teach the delicate subject of conjugal bliss by way of intricate drawing in the hands as a part of bridal decoration. This helps to initiate the newly married to shed the inhibition or in a way break the ice facilitate further conversation in the topic.
an ideal picnic spot
The beautiful road to Sardar Sarovar dam- rural village type scenes
The magnificent Sardar Sarvar dam - overflows
The clouds kisses the mountains and river water gushes with full flow
The thick dark monsoon clouds envelops the sky
The side view of the magnificent Dam
The water flows through the channel
The lake in the Sardar Sarovar dam- boat ferrying for tourists
One of the bridge -enroute to the dam
River Narmada -ghat side of the Dattatreya swami temple
The evening dusk and the sun set at the river banks
River Narmada in full flow
SUNSET FROM RIVER NARMADA FROM THE GHATS
Last Sunday ie 15th July, we visited the Sardar Sarovar Dam project.
The dam is huge and amazing. Due to monsoon rains the water is overflowing from the dam. The site is 83kms away from Vadodara. When we proceeding through the road we could experience the lush, rich green rural feel. The agricultural lands were full of water and with full of agri activities, bullocks, cows and cattles are moving here and there and in may places sitting in the road itself. The road is well laid and pleasant to ride. There are tress in the two sides of the road. on going further, we could experience pleasant hill station like feeling. The clouds gather to cover intensely, and the sky becomes dark and it starts drizzling. The sight of the dam with water overflowing from it, amidst the thick dark clouds hovering its head, surrounded by lush green hills, with swirling waters in the narmada river, and the filled canals is an unforgettable experience. The Dattatrya temple and the ghats where the river narmada flows is an unique experience to watch.
