unforgettable day

on this fateful day January 14th, my beloved mother attained the lotus feet- still I feel the vaccum and a sense of emptiness prevails, still unable to believe that she is not alive...
the love and affection of a mother is precious and unfathomable, and cannot be replaced.
Those happy days with my mother can only be remembered. I am yearning for those happy days, but now it is not possible as she is not there, I could only cherish those sweet memories...
Truely my mother is love walking on two legs,
those laughs,
ever willing to sacrifice,
keeping high of myself,
giving freedom at the same time control,
telling nice stories and happenings around,
being content and happy for even small things,
accepting even a small gift with full joy and ethusiasm,
ever willing to help others,
spritual, tireless in household cores,
calmness and supportive,
But the lord was impatient and
Perhaps, hurry and wants to provide her a position in his abode...
This day is unforgettable in my life....for some today is the begining of Pongal festival, ie bogi pongal.. but for me it is not so...
A tribute to my mother...
ofcourse some borrowed wisdom as I am not competent to write peoms like these.

gaining wisdom

Knowledge is power.
even if you are meek and fragile if you have knowledge and wisdom you can have the power. knowledge can be acquired by reading but wisdom can be gained by experience only. of course we can enrich our knowledge by borrowed wisdom,,, here is one,
Watch your thoughts; they become words.
Watch your words; they become actions.
Watch your actions; they become habits.
Watch your habits; they become character.
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.
Frank Outlaw
On pondering, we could realise how true it is!!!
(please note the above funny photo, cheetah running for life from deer is hypothetical, if one have knowledge and wisdom, he can overcome the might... photo from internet)

Its time for a new beginings... Wishing you all a very happy 2008 !!!
Ofcourse year comes and year goes... but what really matters is every year we are gaining new experience, new knowledge and new acquitances.
We may resolve to do certain things and not to do certain things, but at the end of the year, what we acheived matters.
Any how we may not have acheived what we want to do but it is always good to plan and resolve some thing constructive to do in the new year.
One of my resolve in the new year is to update blog periodically.,
let us peek in to the common resolutions - the global top 10!!!
1. Spend More Time with Family & Friends
2. Fit in Fitness
3. Tame the Bulge
4. Quit Smoking
5. Enjoy Life More
6. Quit Drinking
7. Get Out of Debt
8. Learn Something New
9. Help Others
10. Get Organized
It is not a bad idea to copy and follow some of the above common resolutions, at it is universally valid.

soo cute n funny
It may change after seeing this photo...
So, it's your first kiss and several questions might come to mind:
Is it the right time?
Is anyone watching?
Does your partner even want to?
But dont, bother... this is my first kiss, ha, ha, ha.....

be happy....

In the picture, just look at their condition.. no place to sleep, still they have made some space for d cat n d dog... water poring from the roof but still each 1 of them have a peaceful smile on their face.. Simply amazing!!!!! The happiest people in the world are not those who have no problems, but those who learn to live with things that are less than perfect.
Keep Smiling Always.

True love
A dog was knocked down by a car and died on the middle of the road. Later, another dog is seen beside the corpse of the dog, he tried to wake his friend up using his leg.

When his attempts to wake his friend failed, he tried to push his friend to the side of the road. But the weight of his friend was proven too heavy for him.

inspiring true life incident

You don't owe me anything," she replied. "Mother has taught us never to accept pay for a kindness."
He said ... "Then I thank you from my heart."
As Howard Kelly left that house, he not only felt stronger physically, but his faith in God and man was strong also. He had been ready to give up and quit.
Many year's later that same young woman became critically ill. The local doctors were baffled. They finally sent her to the big city, where they called in specialists to study her rare disease.
Dr. Howard Kelly was called in for the Consultation. When he heard the name of the town she came from, a strange light filled his eyes. Immediately he rose and went down the hall of the hospital to her room.
Dressed in his doctor's gown he went in to see her. He recognized her at once. He went back to the consultation room determined to do his best to save her life. From that day he gave special attention to her case.
After a long struggle, the battle was won.
Dr. Kelly requested the business office to pass the final bill to him for approval. He looked at it, and then wrote something on the edge and the bill was sent to her room. She feared to open it, for she was sure it would take the rest of her life to pay for it all. Finally she looked, and something caught her attention
on the side of the bill. She read these words...
"Paid in full with one glass of milk"
(Signed) Dr. Howard Kelly.
Tears of joy flooded her eyes as her happy heart prayed: "Thank You, God, that your love has spread broad through human hearts and hands."
There's a saying, which goes something like this:
Bread cast on the waters comes back to you.
