lessons for life - for peace n happiness

We are constantly searching for peace of mind and Happiness. But due to some reasons or other it eludes us. For many happiness is like a mirage. I had read an article which gives method of achieving Happiness and mental peace, worth reading....

Happiness has different meanings for everyone; we each have to define and seek it for ourselves.

Steps:1. Figure out what is important to you in life. For example: Do you value a certain kind of job, material things, a relationship, time alone, time with others, time to relax, time to be creative, time to read, time to listen to music, time to have fun? These are just a few of the possibilities.

2. Think about times when you have felt happy, good or content. Where were you? Who were you with? What were you doing, thinking or feeling that made you feel happy?

3. Decide to make more time in your life to do more of what is important to you and makes you feel happier. To be happy, you have to make happiness a priority in your life.

4. Start with little things and work up to bigger ones. Little things might be reading for 15 minutes; taking a walk; doing exercise, calling a friend; or, sweets, candles or tea that you will enjoy every time you use it.

5. Focus on what is positive about yourself, others and life in general instead of dwelling on the negative. In a journal, write down as many positive things as you can think of. Keep it handy to read over, and continue adding to it.

6. Appreciate what is working in your life right now. In the major areas of your life, such as your health, job, love life, friends, family, money and living situation, what is going well?

Tips:

Ask other people, "What makes you happy?" or "What is something that makes you feel good?"

It's OK to ask for professional help. Talk to someone like a psychotherapist, career counselor, or spiritual advisor to help you sort out what would make you happy.

Read books on the subject of happiness and peace of mind. Wise people have been writing about it for hundreds of years. In the bookstore, look under psychology, spirituality or philosophy.

If you follow some the tips, gradually you can condition your mind towards peace of mind and happiness will be in your doorsteps.

Laugh n enjoy, which one who like the most????

truth!!!

ULTIMATE TRUTH

Whenever I find the key to success, someone changes the lock.

To Err is human, to forgive is not a COMPANY policy.

In order to get a Loan, you first need to prove that you don't need it.

All the desirable things in life are either illegal, expensive or fattening.

Since Light travels faster than Sound, people appear brighter before you hear them speak.

You can never determine which side of the bread to butter. If it falls down, it will always land on the buttered side.

Anything dropped on the floor will roll over to the most inaccessible corner.

As soon as you mention something... ... if it is good, it is taken.... If it is bad, it happens.

He who has the gold, makes the rules ---- Murphy's golden rule.

If you come early, the bus is late. If you come late...... the bus is still late.

Once you have bought something, you will find the same item being sold somewhere else at a cheaper rate.

If you have paper, you don't have a pen....... If you have a pen, you don't have paper...... if you have both, no one calls.

The door bell or your mobile will always ring when you are in the bathroom.

After a long wait for bus no.20, two 20 number buses will always pull in together and the bus which you get in will be crowded than the other.

If your exam is tomorrow, there will be a power cut tonight.

The last person to be fired or quit is responsible for all the errors until another person is fired or quits.

Irrespective of the direction of the wind, the smoke from the cigarette will always tend to go to the non- smoker ............ ...

ha, ha, seems to be happening on everyones life isnt...!!!

i don't care!!!

I dont care about what others say about the bottled drinks, I like it and i'll drink it!!! Nice photo, I dont know whether this is morphed or original, anyhow I received this as an attachment forwarded by one of my friend... My doubt? How the little fellow suck thru the straw!!!

wow useful in day today life

During my recent Japan visit I observed the following:-
Japanese have penchant for innovation. They like minature things, many items are handy, small, cute and soft. Even the wash basins and sanitary wares are tiny and attached with electronic gadgets. Tokyo is well connected by railways, metro, underground trains and city transportation is well networked. Observed that people meditates (sleeps!!) during morning and evening metro train travel, or playing in their mobiles. But not disturbing others but loud talks. Japanese are very friendly, courteous and punctual. The city is spick and span and hard to find filth or waste plastic papers or covers. could not find dogs, cows roaming in any part of the roads. Could find automatic vendor machines in roads to purchase bottled water, soda, colas or fruit juices.
I received some of the Japanese petty inventions by email and wish to share as they are cute and really useful in our day to day life.

is it raining

Is it raining heavily over there? (think Egypt)

You may wonder its heavy rain with hails, Isnt!!!

But a closer look may prove you are wrong???

It is not raining, its locust ie a small inset sweeps, it can destroy the agriculture, when invades.

People find it difficult, and scared of them.

Look a closer look of the insect, if it invades like this, what happens, the above picture shows lakhs of them flying as if it is raining!!!!

Research and understanding

Researching this Frog

A prominent scientist conducted very important experiment.

He trained a frog to jump upon giving it a verbal command ("Jump!").

In a first stage of experiment he removed frog leg, told it to jump, and the frog jumped.

So he wrote in his scientific notebook: "Upon removing one leg all frog organs function properly."

So, he removed the second leg, asked the frog to jump, it obeyed, so he wrote again: "Upon removing the second leg all frog organs function properly."

Thereafter he removed all the legs but one, the frog jumped when ordered, so he wrote again: "Upon removing three legs all frog organs function properly."

Then he removed the last leg. Told the frog to jump, and nothing happened. He did not want to take a chance, so he repeated the experiment several times, and the leg less frog never jumped.

So he wrote the conclusion: "Upon removing the last leg the frog loses sense of hearing"

Dont worry be happy

Hence, Don't worry be happy!!!!

lesson from echo

A son and his father were walking on the mountains.

Suddenly, his son falls, hurts himself and screams: "AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!"
To his surprise, he hears the voice repeating, somewhere in the mountain:"AAAhhhhhhhhhhh!!!"

Curious, he yells: "Who are you?"
He receives the answer: "Who are you?"

Angered at the response, he screams: "Coward!"
He receives the answer: "Coward!"

He looks to his father and asks: "What's going on?"
The father smiles and says: "My son, pay attention."

And then he screams to the mountain: "I admire you!"
The voice answers: "I admire you!"

Again the man screams: "You are a champion!"
The voice answers: "You are a champion!"

The boy is surprised, but does not understand.

Then the father explains: "People call this ECHO, but really this is LIFE.

It gives you back everything you say or do.

Our life is simply a reflection of our actions.
If you want more love in the world, create more love in your heart.
If you want more competence in your team, improve your competence.
This relationship applies to everything, in all aspects of life ;
Life will give you back everything you have given to it.

"YOUR LIFE IS NOT A COINCIDENCE. IT'S A REFLECTION OF YOU!
